On October 20, 2025, several staff members from the Dispute Resolution Center of King County (KCDRC) had the opportunity to meet Mayor Bruce Harrell at City Hall, where the organization was presented with a proclamation in honor of Conflict Resolution Month and the conflict resolution work that KCDRC does. Read the mayoral proclamation here.

Conflict Resolution Month is an important time to recognize the vital work of those helping communities navigate disagreements, foster understanding, and build stronger relationships. KCDRC’s staff and volunteers exemplify these values every day, providing resources, training, and support to people throughout Seattle and all of King County.

It is an honor for KCDRC to have the dedication and impact of its team acknowledged publicly. This recognition highlights our ongoing commitment of staff and volunteers to equip communities with the skills and confidence to resolve conflicts peacefully and constructively. KCDRC remains proud to serve as a resource for conflict resolution, helping individuals and organizations foster connection, understanding, and positive outcomes in their communities.

With gratitude,
