Mediation Solutions

Mediation offers a chance for neighbors, landlords, property managers and tenants to meet face-to-face and find creative solutions to a variety of disagreements. After you request mediation, we will reach out to the other party, and if they agree to mediate, we will schedule a mutually convenient time to meet.

If the other party won’t meet, or if you’re not ready for mediation, try conflict coaching. You will meet with a skilled conflict resolution professional to help you manage the conflict more effectively. Contact us directly to setup a coaching session or mediation.

Veterans and Seniors Program

Our Veterans and Seniors Program provides free mediation services to resolve housing disputes for veterans and seniors in King County. This program also provides free conflict resolutions services to other individuals who historically have been under-served in King County.

Those eligible for free housing-related mediation include:

  • Seniors 55+ and family caregivers
  • Veterans and their family members
  • Survivors of sexual assault or domestic violence
  • LGBTQ+ individuals
  • People whose first language is not English
  • Immigrants and refugees
  • People with disabilities

These services are funded by the King County Veterans, Seniors and Human Services Levy. This levy helps individuals and families transition to affordable housing, get job training, find employment, receive behavioral health treatment, and more.

“Both mediators were fair to me. My relationship with my neighbor got better and finally we started talking. I would highly recommend this team to others.”
