3-Day Restorative Circle Training

Training Description

The circle process is designed to encourage mutual understanding in a wide variety of settings. Circle keeping is a Restorative Practice that employs the art of deep listening to facilitate the opportunity for community and social equity building.

This 3-day experiential training, offered in collaboration with the Dispute Resolution Center of Kitsap County, will prepare participants to facilitate Restorative Circles within their communities, schools, and in juvenile justice settings.

Learn and practice the fundamental elements of circle keeping, establishing shared values, using ritual and a talking object, relationship and trust building, and creating a safe space.

**Please Note: We define active volunteers as those who have donated their time to supporting the KCDRC through volunteering or otherwise substantially contributing to our family and community mediation services, Small Claims Court mediation services, or presenting/coaching at one of our trainings in the past 1 year.**


Sue Miglino has studied Restorative Justice, Peacemaking Circles, Facilitative Mediation and Systemic Family Constellation work, for most of the last 10 years. Her current work has allowed for the development of a process referred to as Multi-Party Restorative Facilitation, a method that encourages Restorative Circle values in managing difficult conversations.


Cancellation & Refund Policy

The DRC gives a full refund for withdrawals up to ten business days prior to the beginning of the training. There is a $25 processing fee for refunds. There will be no refunds for workshops where the fee is $25 or less. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than ten business days prior to the first day of the training or for anyone who registered and without notification, does not attend that training.
