SUMMARY:CoRE™ Part A
DESCRIPTION:About CoRE™ \nWe designed CoRE™ to make conflict resolution training and services more relevant and accessible to everyone. We believe everyone has the capacity to strengthen their conflict resolution skills in everyday life. To shape this program\, we held listening sessions and focus groups with residents and organizations in South King County. Through these conversations\, we heard diverse perspectives from people of color and marginalized communities\, including LGBTQ+ individuals\, immigrants\, people who were formerly incarcerated\, and others.  \nPart A: \nConflict Resolution Skills: Learners may choose from any or all of the 10 sessions that introduce foundational skills for people to manage conflict independently and within their own communities. Part A will be held from September 8th\, 2025 to September 12th\, 2025 from 10am to 1:45pm (two sessions each day.) \n1. Careful Observation – “What Do I Notice?” \n2. Reflective Practice – “How Did I Do?” \n3. Giving and Receiving Feedback – “How Can We Help?” \n4. Intentional Listening – “What Did You Tell Me?” \n5. Conflict Styles – “How Do We Disagree?” \n6. Issue Identification – “What’s Our Problem?” \n7. Reframing – “What Does That Mean?” \n8. Distributive Bargaining in Negotiation – “What’s Fair?” \n9. Empathy in Negotiation – “How Do You See It?” \n10. Integrative Bargaining in Negotiation – “What Else Could We Do?” \n  \nVisit our Learning Portal to sign up/join mailing list. \nRead more about CoRE™ here.
